The Branch, life before learning,
We were coming back from our trip to Lake Erie and Mentor Ohio and as we pulled in a storm had dumped a lot of rain and a "gully washer" was occurring in the hollow and my neighbor told me it was bad down the road and we had to dodge a lot of logs on the way down but as we pulled in the culvert was overflowing it's banks but I could tell if I could pull some of the logs that were clogging the culvert it would alleviate the overflow so I jumped out and grabbed the first piece of wood I saw as it looked like a hook to grab other logs and it worked very well as I used it to pull all the others out. But I noticed not one of the other logs or any other that I saw that day or the next were perfect like that one to do what needed to be done in that moment. After thinking about it a few times I was out looking for small logs to cut up for kindling for the woodstove as it is getting cold like 50F degrees lately. I thought about it a few times over the next few days and then I went out again to collect some kindling and I picked up that branch. I took it to the cabin and told Pam about it and showed it to her. She said "let's not cut it up but keep it to remember that story"
Religion is not telling you the truth because it is the very language, learning and technology that promise if you turn to knowledge for your answers but that is still an approximation and overlooks what is really needed to be understood about what seems like a fallen species. Because all the information and knowledge give the illusion of safety but in reality without being guided by the SPIRIT it is leading to a desolation which we can overt but not without starting over with why it will happen without the guidance of the SPIRIT.
